We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified 3K/4K Lead Teacher to join our team and help shape the future of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets the developmental needs of 3K and 4K students.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and development.
- Assess and document student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to deliver a cohesive educational experience.
- Engage with families and the community to build strong relationships and support networks for students.
- Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and participate in professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
Position Overview
The 3K/4K Lead Teacher will be responsible for creating a supportive and enriching classroom environment for young learners, guiding their development through age-appropriate activities, and fostering a love for learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, along with the ability to meet the qualification requirements set by the Department of Education.
Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
- Baccalaureate Degree and State Certification: A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education(Birth - 2) and State certification.
- Baccalaureate Degree and Experience: A baccalaureate degree in early childhood education (Birth - 2) or a related field of study approved by the Department. Two years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a pre-school program if currently employed in a permitted child care program.
- Study Plan Eligible: The candidate has proposed a plan for meeting the above qualifications within seven years, with approval from an accredited college.
- To be study plan eligible, the candidate must have: An Associate's (AA or AS) degree in early childhood education (Birth - 2), including practicum; or Ninety or more undergraduate college credits and one-year classroom experience teaching children in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, or grades 1-2; or A baccalaureate degree in any other academic subject and one-year classroom experience teaching children up to third grade.
Preferred Qualifications
- Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Special Education (Birth - 2) is a plus.
